Bridging will give away an estimated 10,000 beds in 2008; half of those beds will be given to children (over 35 beds to kids each day.) The goal of the SUBWAY® BEDRACE FOR BRIDGING is to raise enough money to cover the cost of 10% of those beds, or $110,000. Each twin bed costs approximately $110; this includes the mattress, box spring, linens and pillows. Each team registration fee ($110) gets one child off the floor. Teams are also encouraged to collect pledges to help Bridging reach this goal.
